Success w/ Blogging

S_W_B_1

Hello, everyone, it has been a hot minute since I have done a personal post, so I thought why not do one today. First, I want to say I am sorry that I did not post on Friday. I was supposed to do my Eid Makeup Post, but I never took photos of it...lolololol. Umm, instead, I think I will do the EXO Monster Look, maybe, idk, let me know in the comments~

So I have been thinking a lot lately about the future and where I see myself in five years time. Which sounds very promising, but it is just I don't know how to get there. If you don't understand what I am saying, let's paint a picture: Laila, a young, promising, intelligent girl is standing at the start line. Ready to achieve the over-hyped aesthetic called a 'goal.' She sees the finish line: there stands 23-year-old Laila who ended world hunger, the first model to be under five foot two, and has caught all 700+ Pokemon. The gun goes off, Laila, the bright, young, intelligent girl begins to run with ambition. All of sudden, the ground begins to split and she is pulled under. She falls into a bottomless pit, continues to become farther and farther from the finish line, her end goal....

That story was 99.5% exaggerated/untrue, except for the part of the ground cracking and me falling under. The real question I want to ask is "how does someone reach his or her goal?" Like, how do I do that?

The honest truth is that question can probably never be answered due to the fact that there is no set formuoli to reach your goals. You kind of have to like just straight up 'work hard.' Which I don't even think I know how to do.

Let's break down the timeline, I started blogging almost four and a half years ago when I was in the eighth grade and now, I am in my summer before my freshman year of college. I have been blogging for four and half years and I have made hardly any money. I am not complaining because I love blogging, but it would be nice to make some money to pay for college.

I feel that my blog will never take off. Like, I will never have a successful blog, which is not necessarily scary to me, it is more like why me? You know. There are people who started like a year or two after me and already are full-time bloggers, which makes me ask what wrong with my blog. I guess the only think I can do is keep going, do my best, and hope for the best. I really love Townhouse Palette and I don't think I will ever leave it behind, I just thought I would get some feelings out.

Sorry if this sounded like a huge pity party. Do any of you bloggers or even non-bloggers ever feel this way?

If you're wondering where my photos are from, they are from my Instagram (link here), shameless plug.

Happy Tuesday ^_^
