After the recent storm *whose name will not be mentioned* caused with her lip color. I have tried to venture out into the world of nude lips. The whole purpose is to make you lips look naked..right? Anyways, I got my hands on two products that have forever changed my view of the iconic nude lips.
The secret to achieving the nude lip is a nude color that suits your skin tone. My savior is the ever-so fabulous Velvet Teddy by Mac. It is a natural brown color with some pink undertones that really compliment my skin. I would have never found this color without the help of Nabela Noor from her concert makeup video. Since then she has switched channels, so you can find her latest here. She actually just got married, so if you ever stumble across my blog, congrats! I literally went on a tangent about Nabela....
To top this lipstick off and give it more of a nude vibe I add this lipgloss from Julep called Polished. I received this lipgloss from a Julep box a few months ago and Julep got their makeup on point. It adds a shine to the matte lipstick to bring my lips to life.
Don't be discouraged if you can't find a nice nude color for your skin. My advice is to go to your Mac counter to find a color that suites your skin tone or find someone online who has a similar skin-color as you.
