Review | NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer

I think it is safe to say if you wear foundation on a regular basis that you also use a face primer! If you don't use face primer, then you are doing something wrong. Today, face primers come in all sorts of colors to tackle specific needs, like green to combat redness. I think writing that gave me a post idea on different color primers! Anyways, this product was actually considered to be the best drugstore primer in 2011 by this one website, that I happen not to know the name of :) With that being said, here are my thoughts.....

When I originally bought this (which was a loonnggg time ago!) I got for around $4-5 dollars, which is an amazing price for a primer. The problem with this primer is that it makes claims, but does not deliver....
  • evens out complexion = no
  • minimizes pores = no
  • minimizes imperfection = not really
Another thing I noticed ( which can be seen below ) is that the primer does not set properly. When I was applying this product to my face, I guess I rubbed too much because the primer began to peel off like a peeling gel. Which came as a shock to me because I had to start my entire face-makeup all over again O.O

With that being said, here is why I will repurchase this product and why you should have it in your makeup collection:

This primer is a shimmery, white color with a light texture similar to the Olay beauty fluid liquid (which I currently use ).The reason why I like this is because it illuminates my skin very nicely. After you apply your foundation you will get this supermodel glow that looks great. I don't use this all the time, only when I really want that extra 'Glow'. I am going to have to say that it turns out nice most of the time, but those other times, I really dread. When I use this, I like to use my knock-off beauty blender to pat on my foundation, so I don't move any of the primer. I highly suggest you try it even if you have oily skin because it can really well on a good day for your skin.

Thanks for reading-XOXO
p.s-I announced the winner of my giveaway on twittah!

How do you get the model 'glow'?
