2014 New Year Resolutions

Hello ♡ It is sad to say, but another year has come and gone. I have always been that person who was super excited for the new year because it made me feel like I was going to succeed and do something that would get me closer to ruling the world. Then when Jan. 1st came around I looked to see what I needed to do to accomplish my goals, and I was like no. Then I happily trotted back to my computer to continue my lazy ways.

Well this year is the year....I think. That I will try to accomplish my goals by not being lazy. I also bought this really cute Hello Kitty agenda that was like $15.00 and I don't want to take it to school and get really weird looks from my peers. So, I have decided to turn it into my blogging agenda :D With that being said, I don't know what I will fill it with, but I hope I can get the most out of it.

Get a New Camera
I have been bothering my dad for a new dslr camera for the past few years. The first camera I used was a point and shoot camera by Canon which was 10 megapixels. A couple months ago, I got a new cell phone which was the  Samsung Galaxy S4. It has a 13 megapixel camera and has a bunch of auto photo editing options. I find hard to use because since it is a phone, images are more likely to come out blurry and then it becomes a problem transferring the photos from my phone to my computer. I want a Canon T3i with a Canon EF 50 mm/ 1.8 II Standard Lens, and maybe throw in a nice tripod.

Decide on a Major and Minor for College
2014 is not only the year where I finish sophomore year, but I also become a Junior. For the past few weeks I have been inching towards business, but now I am also thinking about journalism. I cannot take on something in the creative/arts aspect because of my mom's opinions towards the idea. I am leaning to a couple colleges like Michigan at Ann-Arbor, Ohio State in Columbus, and New York University. I really want to attend New York University, but the tuition is really high >.< Unless I can get a really good scholarship or make a ton of cash, I will be kissing my chances good-bye :'(

Get A Few Blog Sponsors
I have never gotten anyone to sponsor my blog, which is kind of a bummer in my two years of blogging. I really want to setup a blog sponsorship with another blog and I actually have a few in mind.

Spend Less Time on the Computer
I find myself doing the same pattern everyday since Winter vacation has started: Wake up, brush/clean myself up, watch TV while eating breakfast then sit on the computer for hours. This is not a healthy pattern and I am not proud of it. I usually find myself just listening to music while on the computer and I think I should just download all my songs from iTunes and listen to them while doing something productive.

Be More Hygienic and Take Better Care Of Myself
I find myself sitting in my own filth because I do not want to take a shower (yess....gross)! I want to get into the habit of frequently cleaning my room and taking a shower along with using some body splash and moisturizing my skin. I also want to be more closer to clearer skin than I was last year.

Become a Better Writer
I was inspired by my friend Sabrina Tajudin to write my post like her New Years Resolution post and I have to say I am liking the font and the layout. I find myself as an ok writer, but I feel as if some people don't even read what I have to say, you know who you are >:( I really want become a writer that catches people's attention. We all know that a cool blog design gets the person's attention, but content is what makes them stay.

Though I can already see all these resolutions going down the drain, I am looking forward to trying. It takes determination and a strong heart to achieve your goals and knowing you are closer to achieving them makes you work a little harder. Like this one time I was going to eat like two slices of pizza, but my friends got me to eat six. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your break until you have to go back to work/school. I will be crying with you.

What are some of your resolutions?

  1. Good resolutions! I love taking showers, I find it the most relaxing part of my day especially now that it is so cold outside. I take long hot showers twice a day and then I get out slather on the body butter pamper my face with serums and lotions and just take my time and relax while I am doing it. Every Friday I have an at home spa day to unwind. I do a full facial with my clarisonic and then a relaxing face mask, I wash my hair, deep condition it, listen to some music and sometimes I even meditate.
