Hello ♡ It has been a long time no talk:( I have too busy with school and band. We went to a contest yesterday. I had a feeling that we were going to suck because it was raining, humid, everyone was tired, and it was homecoming night ( I did not go though). Luckily, we wiped out the competition and took grand champ. in double A and over all. I thought I would treat to a review a product that is not really talked about in the makeup blogging world. I got the Velvet Gloss as a sample from Sephora. Also, in 5 days 140 hours 8444 minutes 506675 seconds Pokemon X and Y will be released. Have you pre-ordered your copy?
The crayon comes in standard Nars Packaging. As for the product, like I said, it is a fat crayon. Which I happen to like. The one thing I don't like is that it is not retractable and you have to manually sharpen it which creates a mess. It is easy to sharpen and the shavings, or shaving, don't break apart to form a mess. I say I am ok with the packaging.
The formula when you first open it is like a crayon, but it goes smooth. When I went to sharpen it today, the product seemed to be melted and gooey, but it still was smooth and creamy. It is said to have vitamin e for smoothness ( and other ingredients) that help moisturize the lips. I fill that this product does moisturize my stubborn, dry lips. I also exfoliated my lips before application with some basic sugar and olive oil.
I love this color. It is exactly like the Sephora says it is-Strawberry infused with gold. I think is very nice and creamy. I feel the little gold sparkles, but it is not bad and do-able. The color is build able and it will become thick of you do too much.
I really like this lip product and the color (perfect for everyday). I think it is simple to use and has a very settle, but noticeable look. I will definitely re-buy this color and more from the line. This product is found at Sephora for $25.00.
